Suicide Prevention Training: QPR

The Missouri Department of Mental Health, in partnership with The Missouri Behavioral Health Council is providing a “QPR Train the Trainer in Jefferson City, Missouri. This training is free and space is limited.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. People trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

Participants who complete the QPR train the trainer training, will be a certified QPR instructor,and be able to teach QPR at their agencies or in their community. Participants will learn how to teach QPR and be given the materials including training resources for completing a training for 25 people.
