Marteinn Sigurdsson

With a team-oriented leadership approach, Marteinn has successfully led various cross-functional teams within the behavioral health industry. Having 12 years of leadership experience across a diverse range of departments including HR, Operations and Finance, he is capable of navigating complex matters from different angles and bringing together a diverse workforce to collaborate on common goals. He has a strong background in finance with a primary focus on Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers and other programs licensed by the Office of Mental Health and IDD.
 
As the Vice President of Finance at BHR, Marteinn is dedicated to the continuous development of the finance team and its collaboration with other departments. As a finance leader, he is very data driven with a strong focus on metrics and quality outcomes as they relate to value-based, evidence-based practices. He is well versed in financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management, procuring to pay, and setting appropriate internal controls.

Originally from Iceland, Marteinn has come to find St. Louis home. He is passionate about learning more about the local communities and is eager to establish himself as a positive advocate in St. Louis. Through his 3 children, ages 8-12 years old, Marteinn is very dedicated to youth sports and commits his time and energy into helping wherever possible. He hopes to be a positive influence to the younger generation and bring a sense of community not only to BHR but to the city of St. Louis.
